Lost Sensitivity Poem by Gift Nwafada

Lost Sensitivity

I once had a mood of sensitivity, A heart that felt
everything with clarity, but now it seems to have
slipped away, Leaving me with a sense of dismay.

I used to feel the world around me, the joy, the
sorrow, and beauty, but now it's all just passing
by, leaving me feeling empty inside.

Perhaps it was the weight of the world, that slowly
chipped away at my soul, or maybe it was just the
passage of time, that made me lose my sense of
control.

Whatever the reason may be, I long for that mood
of sensitivity, to feel the world with all its intensity,
and find my way back to my true identity.
