Lost Soul Poem by David Whittingham

Lost Soul

A lost soul,
I spread my wings amongst the uncaring stars,
Drifting beneath the all enduring Cosmose,
Watching as the stars rise and fell,
As the planets collided,
As the universe ripped out its bowels,
All became darkness.

A lost soul,
I lifted my arms amongst the refuse of society,
Drifting beneath the uncaring stares,
Watching as others rise and fell,
As the bottles collide,
As the dump trucks move on there silent journey,
All became darkness

A lost soul,
I swum the deep into the abyss darker than the night,
Drifting beneath the crest of the world
Watching the others drifting past,
As the heat rises,
As the volcano spews out its unholy might,
Aall became darkness.

We walked into the light,
All as one,
To be the reborn,
Into a better life.
Free atlast.

A powerful write David, perhaps you could call it Lost Soul. Well done though. Shaun.
