When i grow up i want to be a doctor
When i grow up i dream of becoming the first female president
Yet when i look deeper into reality's scary eyes i am horrified
My whole life is mystified and my aspirations can not be justified
I am a lost soul already crucified let it be known
I lost it all so why should i bother
I am a lost soul, i lost it all

All is not well since that insane barbaric mindset caught up with my beloved parents
My life has taken a fatal twist as far as i recall
Greedy and poverty stricken messages they alway conveyed as they lured me into these shackles
These shackles that torment my soul and personal abilites
I their dear daughter a bigger asset than the supposed liability

They dropped me out of school like a hot potatoe
Forced me into early marriage faster than a bolt of lightning
The man i married oh what a fool, to shrewd for my liking
Young as i am i work abnormally to finish every chore
Cook this, wash that, plant there his family push and order
Being a lost soul as i am we can not stand shoulder to shoulder
Mama told me i have to be obedient like a child solider
And so now i wonder what tomorrow will bring?

My lost soul mourns for all my sisters and daughters caught up and falling to this predicament
An unfair death sentence due to worldly misjugdment
With adolesents knocking at my youthful fountain i have grown in stamina
But looks can be decieving just like fruit
So now they cut me off before i am ripe
Mentally i have lost it all my soul can not rest or hide from this wayward hype
I can not fill the void i once intended to i am a lost soul with nowhere to go
I am tied to never ending misery, poverty and nostlagic schooling moments
I lost it all what a predicament
My soul is lost listen as it cries i am a lost soul
