Lost Star Poem by Aranoys AreligSelegn

Lost Star

Rating: 3.5

In the darkness of night
a star lost its way
In the middle of the night
this star lost its light

'I see so many roads' it said,
'so many roads
to places I've never been.
I see many options
but I can only stay still'

'Where should I go?
Where should I be?
Time tells me I it's time to go
and it's so hard to decide where to'

'How will I know
which path I should take?
How will I know if I'm ready to go? '
'I'm terrified and weak
but this can't be it! '

The poor star so lonely
tried to keep its light alive
but the darkness around it
was breaking its strength apart

'I wish I could be
as bright as other stars,
I wish I could keep giving light
to the hearts that need warmth'

'The paths are not clear
but I must regain my strength
at least for one more day
at least for one last time.
I will fight with my last breath
for the hope that othes stars
will never loose their shine
and I'll be the bearer of peace
and hope and smiles'

'And someday I might
find my true place
and have the light back in my eyes
that will mend my broken heart'
