Lost Ways(Into The Woods) Poem by Sebastian Sandok

Lost Ways(Into The Woods)

Rating: 5.0

A lost sense of adventure in the world makes me tremble…
not with fear, for I fear nothing
but with lament for the fizzle of experience.
So I sing for all the old explorers, the heralded ones, the valiant few;
and all the expeditions they lead,
Glorious triumphs of the unknown,
ventures into the dark, unmapped regions of the world.
Following none but themselves gripping a lit torch,
throwing light to caves as dark as a thousand nights,
with only a single star to bestow its awkward light.
Coming forth to mountains that punctuated the heavens.
Only to find gems at the bottom of crystal rivers.
Those were the spirited ones, the ones who gave birth to adventure.
And I my friend, I will nurse it.
