Stay with thy radiant love
to revive the soul of thee
i beg of you to restore the joy in my inner life
free thy demon and bring me wisdom

what has become of me
i am cruel to my own feelings
drifting into a slave of evil
silently screaming in secret
hiding behind the light of day

this unknown spirit lies within me
it is something unfamiliar
it makes me do things that lead to impossible pain
poisoning my mind with not but a lie in denial

harder to trust
blood continues to run from the cuts
as if a ghost is telling me i must
still i am falling rather than rising up
