Love Poem by Theresa Potts

Love

Love is a rose
gleaming in the sun,
its petals glowing red
falling to the ground.

It is a razor
that's as sharp as a knife,
it can cut
deep in one's soul.

Love is an ocean
that spreads worldwide,
you can't forget it-
it cries and cries.

It is a hunger
which craves the soul,
it lives off two people
who care deeply for each other.

Love is like gazing
into someone's pale blue eyes,
then kissing their soft,
tender lips.

It is the greatest gift
anyone could give,
for you can not buy love,
it comes naturally.

Love has just died
in the winter so cold-
I am a rose-
love me.
