Love Poem by Naysha Burch

Love

Love is never promised,
It is always felt,
But unlikely returned,
It is needed
And always wanted,
Love is a virtue,
All powered by a goddess,
So can I be her?
The one you adore the most,
The beautiful.
Mystical.
Holy.
One that you call on?
I will always be by your side,
Always be the first to fight for you,
Love is a war,
So can I go and fight with you?
All you need is me in your world,
But without all it will be is a bore,
I am the one that keeps your cloudy days warm,
Your hurricanes low,
Your winter cold,
Without me you will suffer the storm,
Lonely.
The debris from the tornado you see,
That’s the love you never gave me,
That’s the pain that you forever put in me,
The deep funnel you fear?
Yeah that’s that internal pain,
And external hate I feel.
Your life only holds by a strand,
A strand that gets cut soon,
By the scissors of karma.
Love is forever a shipwreck,
Shipwreck into the sea of burning hell,
Into the sea of heartbreak and cruelty,
Into the sea of me.
