Love Poem by Mai Murphy Venn

Love

When the moon is at its peak, so bright,
Two lovers meet in the dead of night.
They hold each other in a tight embrace.
Forbidden love can leave no trace.
Romeo and Juliet fell in love when they met.
They shared their love, despite all complications.
Montague. Capulet refused to have a conversation.
For they disagreed, not a rare combination.
Neither of their kin approved of their devotion.
For they cause immense confusion and emotion.
The Shakespeare saga is performed on an open stage.
Soon became noted worldwide, and it was all the rage.
Once Cupit's arrow pierces your heart with love divine.
Then comes the question, will you be mine?
