You looked at me so changeless
eyes brimming with tears
I wished that I could help you
As my fidgeting appears

Most things in life aren’t easy
or as simple as they seem
But you can’t just let them hound you
as you lose your self-esteem

Just because depression hits
and all happiness feels gone
Don’t ponder for a second
just remember, “life goes on”

The little things that feel so good
can only last to an extent
But so many love and admire you
because from heaven you were sent

Truly divine your being is
forever and beyond
Don’t lose hope and dry your eyes
as we share our ardent bond

The closer you approach me
the more disquiet I become
A shake in every breath
as my hands and knees go numb

So let’s focus on reality
and talk a little more
Be apart of each others lives
It might heal your inner core

Your cheerless expression
that chilling sting
This must be love
to me you bring
