Love Again Poem by James Gibbons

Love Again

Gentle rains, smiling skies
welcome tiny hints of change
stark season's fragile growth
pale shy sprouts open their eyes
bravely breaking winter's coffin
nature's patience unfolds
canopied hints of green
transform ripening landscapes
a painter's palette renewed
time's vision to see
living wonders return
nourishing renewing hearts
dewy dawn embraces fertile soil
gentle waking of early morn
sunlight rubs her sleepy eyes
the giver of life rises radiant
flooding heartened sights to life
return of the yearly promise
earth will love again.
