Dreams Poem by James Gibbons

Dreams

Rating: 5.0

It flashes it's message
in a dream state
world of somnolent absurdities
Making up the universe
Of my sleeping mind
Stitches together the most absurd
Sights, sounds conceivable
A fairy horror roller coaster
This demented landscape
Flickering scenarios, past wishes,
Mixed into a witches caldron
Bubbling, boiling bits of life
Added in by the master of strife.
Churned and turned, until crispy
and tender through and through.
Eaten again and again, regurgitated
Savoring the moment, over and over
till the light again ascends.

Another stimulating ride through your world of Word Play. I feel like the poem has abandoned itself to the elements and the reader must abandon himself to the power of the Word artist! There are so many lines in this that I like but if you forced me to pick just one..... It flashes it's message in a dream state world of somnolent absurdities - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -but then again I take joy in this one............... Mixed into a witches caldron Bubbling, boiling bits of life Added in by the master of strife. Churned and turned, until crispy and tender through and through. .........................................................Yes! ! ! !

Susan; you're so kind, such affirmative words! I appreciate them more then I can say. If you like word games read Vampire or Prometheus, read Letters to editor at your own peril! There are some very romantic poems which are personally my favorite. thanks for your comments Jim Gibbons

Susan you're a guardian angel. I can't thank you enough taking the time to read some of my stuff. I had really given about given up on trying to be a poem writer - If you have a moment try reading Lettet to the Editor its all about anger. Kinda rough acting. best from Jim G
