Love Amalgamation Poem by Kizito Zangewa

Love Amalgamation

Love is like the word ‘dozen', it stands for ten
When I utter the utterance ‘I love you'
I constrict ten things
Ten things I like about you

To begin with, I like the way you petrify me with your smile
And Like your darling song, I like the way you pin your ears back to my vocal mishmash
I like the outline of your body contours,
Perfectly positioned by The Ultimate Architect
Meticulously, Your Calamine soft skin is my source of calmness
Cruising through that skin deletes my sadness,
I like your reasoning ability, reminiscent of that of Plato's,

Many places I would take you, including plateaus
That eloquent silence is what I would want us and only us to occupy
Sharing our happy moments in form of history
All because of that voice, that sweet hallelujah voice that always leaves me mesmerised
Truly darling, I would fight for a world shared with you only
Because I like the special happy moments that we encounter in our encounters,
I like the curiosity when you look at me
I like the way you comfort me in troubled times,
And I like the you summatively due to you uniqueness

Whenever I say ‘I LOVE YOU' I mean to say all this
I LOVE YOU MY BROWN CHOCOLATE

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My sugarplum kept asking me what i meant when i kept saying i love her.. precisely, i came up with this piece to explain to her what i mean when i tell her i love her... What i believe is that there is more to 'LOVE' than just a four letter word.
