Love As It Is Poem by ashok jadhav

Love As It Is

I met you where the river bends,
Where willows whispered to the stream;
No grand design, no shining words,
Just hearts that dared to softly dream.
We walked through fields of waving grass,
Our fingers brushed, our laughter free;
No vows were spoken, none were asked,
Yet love flowed quietly between thee and me.
The sun would warm our shaded path,
The breeze would play with tangled hair;
We shared our bread, our silent thoughts,
And found the world was gentle there.
No jealous fire, no tangled pride,
Could touch the calm we had begun;
In simple acts, in tender care,
We saw how love could weigh a ton.
Years may pass and time may fade,
Yet still that quiet flame will stay;
For love that grows without demand
Is richest in its softest way.
