Love As Meaning Itself Poem by ashok jadhav

Love As Meaning Itself

Love as Meaning Itself
(Shakespearean Sonnet)
Not in the gold of kings, nor fleeting fame,
Nor triumphs writ upon the fleeting page,
Nor works of art that boast a lasting name,
Does life attain its purpose or its stage.
But in the heart that gives itself away,
In gentle acts where tender care abides,
In love that grows through night as well as day,
The soul discovers where true meaning hides.
No quest for power, knowledge, or renown
Can match the truth that love alone imparts;
It crowns the humble, lifts the weary down,
And etches joy upon our mortal hearts.
So let all else dissolve, for this is clear:
Love is the end, the start, the reason here.
