Offering bits of life to the nearly
Dead, a love bathed in red tea-d skies
An office of tremendous importance
Deserts on foot battling heat and soul’s thirst
Oasis’s flange- d palms and dates wave in dusk
Now, silhouetted people-d forms masked grey
Neither, black or white, journey’s midpoint
Just an indeterminate nation state
A-waiting, Love’s merciful tenderness
