Love By A Jewel Poem by Tumisang Ramarea

Love By A Jewel

Love is polluted
Trust removed
Insecurities rooted
Lust evoked

I gave all
You crushed me
Was standing tall
Now short I be

Your tongue
Lied to my ear
My lung
Operate in fear

To stay
Is to lie
A day away
I might die

I prefer truth
So I go
Am I without Ruth?
I don't know
