Love Conquers All Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Love Conquers All

I adore every flower blooming in spring
And the eye-catching shine of my emerald ring.
When wearing pretty dresses, colourful and new
I am almost as happy as when I'm with you.

A long evening walk on the hill brings me joy
A glass of champagne, and I feel kind of coy.
Strawberries and cream; choc-ices too
Are nearly as heavenly as my love for you.

Taking a holiday trip up the Nile
Or booking a cruise to some tropical Isle,
May cheer up my life for a moment or two,
But could never compete with the nearness of you.

When we are together, I am dancing on air
Flying so high without worry or care.
My mind is in paradise as soon as you call
We have fallen in love ~ and 'love conquers all'
