Love Forlorn Poem by Ehsanul Haque

Love Forlorn

Rating: 5.0

A meet absurd we hath.
Absurd, I know not why.
Perhaps, I did feel queer,
To you I will not lie.
Another day, in a different way,
I wish you'd say, "I love you".

Lust controlled me, Youth seduced me;
Life seemed so passionate.
When I met you and loved our love,
It was Sleaze I was to hate.
Another day, in a better way,
I wish you'd say, "I love you".

We will accept so willingly
What worldly ties cannot accept.
Beyond Age, before Material -
Love that within us crept.
Another day, in a pleasant way,
I wish you'd say, "I love you".

Faith conquers Age, Trust crushes Differences;
Birth of Love destroys all rage.
Things mean a lot more now -
Now that it served your image.
It is today, in my own way,
I want to say, "I love you".
