Beside a little pond l sat
A green frog on a lilly spied
Saw me staring into the pond
Hopped and sat down by my side
Why are you looking so sad he asked
I looked down on my newfound friend
And told how a lady l miss
My broken heart l cannot mend
The little frog hopped from his seat
And dived into the pond
And reappeared beside my feet
His home he just came from
At my feet he layed a flower
The prettiest flower l had ever seen
And told me to plant it in a bower
Where grass is growing green
