Love Heals Everything Poem by Danzel Ong

There once was a boy who hated the world,
He was broken on the inside,
His heart was cold as ice,
He was slowly losing himself and his purpose in life,

Until one day he met a girl,
She possessed all qualities he dearly yearned for,
Kind, gentle, soft and charismatic,
The boy was confused,

He felt he wasn't worth the effort the girl was giving him,
And he tried to leave,
But there was something about her,
That made him want to stay,

It was never planned from the beginning,
Feelings began to develop for each other,
Their relationship grew closer and closer,
But the boy was afraid she might leave him if she discovered his secret,

He tried again to leave her,
Everything was a mistake he felt,
He shouldn't had opened his heart too easily,
But something unexpected happened,

The girl told him that she was like him, broken and lost,
It was at that moment the boy realized,
That the real reason why he was able to connect to her,
Was because they were both the same,

The boy told her how much he loved her,
For the first time in life,
There was someone that could accept and love for who he is,
That all this time, she was the missing piece he needed,

They were never supposed to meet,
But fate brought them together,
They say love heals everything,
They were right.
