Love Hurts To Love

Rating: 4.8

In love, through love man’s sure to win
In love’s fair hand we’ll stand
Because in love Christ bore the sin
His Father’s love had planned

My Lord my God what grace I’m shown
Walking an extra mile
When ice colds winds in life have blown
You’ve given grace to smile

How oft in life I would conceal
Such filth for which You’d grieve
Through righteous Light would You reveal
My fretting soul to relieve

To die my God upon the tree
So I’d not live in vain
You demonstrated love to me
Suffering so much pain

I thank You Lord for saving me
And setting my heart ablaze
You died my God that I would see
The error of my ways

Love can be odd even bizarre
To show You had to die
How wonderful in truth You are
How foolish Lord am I

I’m blessed so blessed within my heart
According to Your plan
This shameful child You set apart
To grow into a man

A man my God a righteous soul
A servant of my King
You raised me up You made whole
This victory song to sing
