you
talk in your sleep
or at least
i'd like to think you do

when you dream
you dream of me
and of all
the wonderful things we could do

but i know
that these are only lies
that i tell myself
and i know
that you will never be mine
cause you've already found your love

another restless night
up tossing and turning
always a sense
of unmistakable yearning

dripping with fear
and i fight to close my eyes
wish i could become
one with the night

and slip
into my unreal bliss
being held in your arms
the embrace
and i pull in for the kiss
but i've gone too far...

and maybe
it's only love in a dream
but i'll take what i can get
