Love In Still Colour Poem by Norman Mukwakwami

Love In Still Colour

Rating: 5.0

If I could paint our love's portrait,
And in water-colour,
Express what joy it brings me,
I would paint last evening's sunset.
Rosy hues.
Fiery cherry tones.
A burgundy horizon.
Violet tints.
Orange tinged clouds.
A scarlet sun hanging above the horizon.
A crimson sun floating on the ocean.

In you I see my love reflected.
In you I see my love perfected.

The ocean is the deep feeling of care,
A thousand crushing waves,
Filling the distance between our hearts.
The dusk,
A landmark of our past.
The end of an era of pain.
The beginning of an era of happiness.
The violet sky,
An expanse,
The undiscovered stories of the remainder of our lives.
The stars,
Hope.
The allure of belief.
