Having meet him just a few months ago
But it seems as if I have known him forever
His huge bold brown eyes,
Concealed most of the time by his long dark black hair,
In a sense, comforting
His lanky shape, something unknown yet familiar
His smile, and laughter, something affectionate in him
A mere imperfection made me fall closer to him
We spent a few days together but only as friends
Nothing more, nothing less
It couldn't be, it can't be
Some say love is not a number but it truly is
But I couldn't help the fact that as I gazed into his eyes,
Everything slowly vanished
In his eyes time flew by and drew me closer and closer to him
But I held back, held back to my heart,
And every cell in my body aching for some of his love
I forcefully fulfilled my selfish heart with nothing but his smile
He was rival to me,
For his eyes meet mine equally if not with greater desperation for love,
He held back the same way I did, acknowledging our mere friendship
Looking at each others eyes we could see that we truly felt the same,
But time isn't on our side, its cruel, i'll never wait,
And together we face the fact that love, is a number.
