Love Is Blind, Deaf And Sometimes Tactilely Impaired. Not To Mention Lust Is Not That Picky. - Poem by Sandra Dodd

You lay there snoring
your huge scaly feet
protruding from the blankets
Thank goodness
with those you do not
touch me

Scanning north toward
your male center
I notice your knees
are knobbier than they were
but you have been kneeling
quite a lot on account of me
being so contentious
somewhat pretentious

The belly a tad pushed up
with the cath all hooked up
I am perverse
I have to say
that does not one
bit put me in reverse

Your chest when we first met,
hmmm that would
not have impressed.
The fur upon it still
is a feat of impressive talent
it took the lama a whole season
to beat you at that, I reason

On the chest I will give a pass
because still that is a stellar ass
Not to mention the pipe
we had replaced
salutes me night and day
no matter my aesthetic state

Even in sleep you have
a boyish grin that is so
charming I think shove over
let me in your covers

The hair a full head still
chestnut and salt and pepper
I have not made you
so much fret
you still have your wig
BUT my favorite
is beneath the wig
that mind so sharp
and full of wit
deceitfully convincing
all but me
what a good boy
you have been

With the smile you do
commit much guile
but I know the truth
when even in the pew
you are half conspiring
who the teens will
go to lunch with
you offer to pay
for the group
to get me home
all alone so
we can practice
what it took us
so long to perfect

Middle aged
but even better
than when we were
hot and younger
for we did not know
a fleas ass from
an impassioned kiss
until you see the way
we are and know
you are by far
the only one
who may touch
this middle aging
princess with......

Well lets not
go there
we would not
want to upset
the double standard!
