Love Is There Poem by Hayden Walstrom

Love Is There

I sit by my bedroom window
Watching the rain pour and the wind blow.
Wondering where my life will go.
I head outside with all the pain I feel inside
Humming a day without rain repeatedly.
My heart feeling a bitter chill
Yet it is so soothing.
I walk along the beach in silence
And I can’t help but to think
About those bitter sweet memories
Of you and me.
The storm intensifies
With each one of my deep sighs.
It intensifies that bitter chill in my heart
Yet it is still soothing.
I feel a familiar hand in mine
I look but no one is there.
I sit on a rock watching the wave’s crash
One by one.
This time I feel a familiar hug.
I look up and my love is there.
