Love Isn't Everything (It's A Mirror) Poem by Nicholas Fuhrmann

Love Isn't Everything (It's A Mirror)

You glance into the mirror, and what do you see?
Your heart beats fast as it clutches to another degree,
Glazing through sucking all of your breath,
Looking shallow and pale with nothing left,

Touching the mirror, feeling the chills down your spine,
Cleaning it with your sleeve making sure it would shine,
Looking closer to see that shining glare,
Can't help but look and stare,

Making a wish and hoping it would come true,
Wishing that shadow half would come to you,
If only it was real where you can have by your side,
Where two lives can finally collide,

She finally comes out and holds your hand,
Wraps her hands around yours like a rubber band,
She kisses your lips and then leaves out of sight,
Your knocked unconcious where you see no light,

You wake up from that horrible hit,
But you finally realize it wasn't real one bit,
You look into the mirror and see if she's there,
But what do you see? Nothing but a glare.
