Love Isn'T Everything They Should It Be. Poem by Charlie Savannah Watson

Love Isn'T Everything They Should It Be.

I give you my all,
I give you my best,
I treat you better, out of all the rest,
but what do i get in return,
Nothing, except a broken heart,
I thought i could trust you not to tear me apart,
But you did anyway,
I'm done trying to keep you from walkin away,
You go, i'll stay here,
I'll try my best not to shed a single tear.
But you'll miss me, and you know this to,
but i'm tried of trying, and i'm done crying,
This time i'll be the soldier, and suck up my tears,
even though falling in love with you was one of my biggest fears,
I'll fight this war, like never before,
cause i'm done, trying to pick myself up out of the floor,
I'll hold my head up high, as i say my good-bye,
Do me a favor, and try not to cry,
So long, everytime you think of my just listen to that song,
and then you'll know how i felt, trying to make you see,
that all i wanted was you to love me.
