Love knows how to deal with me
It shoots me into the sky
And lets me take in all the views
Then fall far down I lose the sight
Of beauty beheld and longed for
It causes your scent to skid past
In a moment so my nostrils yearn
My eyes scan the space of time
For the stem of your beautiful soul
But it doesn't end there
It puts you in a glass so I cannot touch
Splashes you with what should scare me
Plucks cotton wool so you cannot hear
The wooing of my tongue and pen
It guides your eyes to some flashy pool
Where all else glows except helpless me
It feeds your heart with friends' tales
And pats when you turn your back to go
It still doesn't end there
The cord that mischievous soul
Puts on us, me and you, oh dear,
No matter how we desert each other
A little twitch is felt by the other
And the more we get wrapped up
In this confusion of misunderstanding
The more our bodies draw closer
To finding, locking up each other
So we can never break away, ever!
