Depression was a pool that I drowned into,
You were the salt that made me rise,
Had to look at you twice,
And made sure to bless my eyes,
A miracle that I was unsure of,
Yet you had me go wild,
Rode my life with toxicity,
But you made it mild,
We all have a bad side,
But the good overcomes,
Thought I would not get attached,
Ended up getting stuck to you like gum,
Your words were either poison or a cure,
Your actions were always judged even when you didnt know,
You were pushed to the edge of a cliff,
but you still hung by,
Had to show you a different site,
For a reason of existence,
Know that I have given you my heart,
A tiny act of love is a mighty act of resistance,
Strong yet sweet,
Your thoughts were on repeat,
It filled my head like a big cloud,
My recipe to success has sugar,
It's you, no doubt,
Waiting till the day I hold your hands,
And till you walk me down the aisle,
Exuberant over those magical words of yours,
I accept you in my life even with all your flaws,
You are the reason to my smile,
I am filled with joy,
Because now I've made you mine.
