Love Light
by Ted L Glines
Some years ago
when life was black
you walked across my guarded moat
smashed my towered walls asunder
your light of love shone in
warming my cold and dungeoned heart
bringing light and love and reason
for me to seek the dawn.
14 Feb 2008. Snow and ice in western Kentucky. She was walking her dog. Slipped and fell and hit her head. She called me from the Emergency Room, not wanting me to worry. Then, as I knew she would, she called me later to let me know she was okay, knowing my worry. This poem is for Patty.
