Love Like Lace Poem by Melissa P Cutler

Love Like Lace

I want to go on a road trip
I want to lay on the hood of your car and stare at the stars
And I want every cell in my body to collide with every cell in your body because I swear to god that's how the galaxy is made.
I want to hold your hand while we are driving
and watch the headlights from other cars dance across your face.
Our love is like lace, delicate but strong, and intricate. Every branch of me stems from every branch of you.
