Wherefore have my kisses been spent?
to a fair maiden, my dreams I have lent
yet the same passion she could not return
and with the fire of desire I was left to burn
and burned I did, to ash
and burn again I will
to see the eye hid behind that lash
Till she loves me back, I'll wait until
