Love Lost...Continues Poem by Priya Pareek

Love Lost...Continues

Her fancies soon came to an end
As she was asked to change herself
Be a bit strong my lady and work hard
Said the most romantic man himself.

Her much admired tenderness was cursed
And he thought she should learn household
She was asked to become a bit rough
While her beauty was a sight to behold.

He was still the majestic king
While the queen turned into a maid
Get married and bear a son
On household much emphasis was laid.

They got busy with family and problems
And romanced once in a blue moon
Their love lost its shiny wings
It collapsed to the ground very soon.

She became a victim of an orthodox family
And hated the man she loved the most
For he confined her to four walls
And the heightened love was lost!
