Love Lost, Part I Poem by Danny Speicher

Love Lost, Part I

His grandma dead now, gone and passed away
The last page of her life written and closed
Her scarves lay neatly in the drawer
Of her dresser of solid, antique, oak
The funeral comes and goes that day
The world is a surrealistic portrait
All the colors blending in
All the brushstrokes combining as one
People crying as the organ plays
The casket now in the ground
The dirt piled in monument of
The one who loved this boy
