Love Lumps Poem by Bill Grace

Love Lumps

Love comes in little lumps;
pumpkin bread baked for a Sunday school class
a father who once took time for you
a mother who made your special pie
a lover not afraid of sex and adoration
a gentle dog turned vicious in defense
the gift of an observed moment's movement
- - a cat who walked in a special way
- - the gait of a particular marathon runner
love is triggered in little lumps.
