For what you see, is what I am,
so love me no less.
This is all you get, there is nothing more.
I shall always be this, I shall always be me,
so love me no less.
I have a heart that bleeds for you, I have a soul that yearns for you,
I have an undying need to be held by you.
You don't see me for me, you see me for what you want me to be,
for what you think I should be,
and you love me less.
