Love Me, Oh Lover Poem by Marlene Rashidi

Love Me, Oh Lover

When the San Francisco sun sets, be by my side
watching the beauty it obtains.
Be the one person I'd retell a story about. For you I
can die for.
Always be the one to remind me of how beautiful I am.
Love me when I hated
when I'm an outcast, when I'm gone.
Comfort me when I'm sad. Cover me with your warm embrace
when I'm cold or even when I'm old with wrinkles and white hair.
Promise to put me in your dreams every now and then
Love me, like a mother loves her children.
Hate me not, forget me not, forsake me not, I'm forever, I'm yours
to keep. So love me, oh lover.
