Love Me Please Poem by Srinath Indu Sreedhar

Love Me Please

I can hold captive the autumn breeze

and make great ocean's tide freeze

I shall bind together the shining stars, dear

and forge a necklace of the colour of fire

With a wave of hand the mighty sun I'll shrink

so that its bright rays won't make you blink

Forbidden flowers I'll steal from the paradise

to make sandals for your foot so nice

For you I will shape a gem out of the bright moon

and a blanket of gold from the newborn dawn

love, I know how much you love the beauty of rain

so around you I'll always make it rain so fine

for you I'll turn the course of the immortal ganges

and rearrange the great himalayan ranges

I wouldn't mind giving up the heavens for you, dear

'cause for me it feels like heaven only at your near

My love, for you I would do all these things with ease

But say! say you love me; please
