Love Notes Poem by JOE JOHNSON

Love Notes

Hollowed out as I am I
still remember them, the
smell of ink, the dry touch,
your love notes. I noticed your
smile from across the room,
basking in your own literature,
your own nature how I missed
all of that.

As I read I feel seldom sadness
and it seems less and even lesser
from word to word. I have spent
hours and still remember what
was ours.

A dream is all that's is alive and
suddenly the living has become
less impotent. They took you days to
write sometimes weeks, line by line
you wrote and you felt good and
happy. Your pen would move
eccentrically by your hand and it
did not matter to you.

The look within your eyes can
never be mistaken with anything
else. I am teemed with harmony and
love once I read them even the tiny
mistakes count.

I remember your Love Notes..............................
