I will never forget the love i once met
by the castle on top of the hill,
my heart he won at the setting of the sun
and time was frozen still.

Eyes as bright as a crisp October night
with their power they envoked me,
his face shone bright by the silvery light
as his hand lifted to stroke me.

As soft as lace his hand cupped my face
my heart began to flutter,
my knees went weak as he proceeded to speak
in my ear he did mutter.

That voice of his the taste of his kiss
were all i needed to fall,
straight into his arms i fell for his charms
his name i began to call.

The night was long our passion strong
in the heat of the moment i did forget,
that we could not be, he and me
for his wife he already met.

The crisp October night and silvery light
could never be the same again,
no touch of lace upon my face
never again will i call his name.

Sometimes ill wait by the castle gate
as the sun sets and time seems still,
was it what it seemed or was it a dream..
the love i met on the hill.
