Love, Plain As Light Poem by ashok jadhav

Love, Plain As Light

It came to me without a sound,
No vows, no gifts of shining art;
A quiet warmth, a steady hand
That found its home around my heart.
We walked the lane at close of day,
The dust rose soft beneath our feet;
No grand confessions filled the air—
Just shared stillness, calm and sweet.
You knew my silences by name,
And I knew yours without a word;
Our thoughts moved gently side by side,
Like wings of one unbroken bird.
We shared the bread, the common cup,
The unadorned, the small, the true;
In simple acts—unnoticed, plain—
Our love grew deep because it grew.
No jealous fire, no restless fear
Disturbed the trust our days had sown;
Like morning light on open fields,
It asked for nothing but its own.
When time grows thin and voices fade,
And all that shines begins to part,
This love will stay—unseen, unnamed—
A quiet strength within the heart.
