Love's Twin Poem by Brian Msekiwa

Love's Twin

Red for love
Red for blood
Today I Love You
Tomorrow I hate you

Why is the end never sweet
Why does it end in pain
But Cinderella lived happily ever after
And today we cry before the end of the first chapter

Today you say you never loved me
But yesterday I was the lover of your life
In love we hoped for the best
And now?
You wishing me the worst

I have seen it.
The thin line between love and hate
The difference between sugar and salt
Is the way they taste

But for true love's sake
I shall not give up
Until I find my piece of cake.
