Love's Variance Poem by Jacson Gelato

Love's Variance

Love goes on like a silent fire
in the hearts of dreams and desire,
many choose many lovers
some choose just one forever;
in the war of passion
there are only two who face each other,
one who kisses the other
and the other who reciprocates
to that touch of lips, sometimes incessantly;
and those who choose not to love at all
or just to love for just a while
how much they yearn for permanency
in the realm of love's victory;
yet life keeps feet moving, searching
for partners, for nights to pass on,
in the frenzy each one wanting
to feel richer in love, happier in heart
though time captures the tide of emotion
love is the cure, love is the story
that never stops, never ceases,
love is the need greater than air and water;
love starts from the arms of the lover
love stops when the same heart stops beating.
