Love That Could Not Last (Shakespearean Sonnet) Poem by ashok jadhav

Love That Could Not Last (Shakespearean Sonnet)

We loved as if the world could bend to stay,
And held each moment as a fragile flame;
Yet time and fate conspired to pull away,
And left our hearts divided, not the same.
The laughter shared now echoes in the past,
The whispered vows dissolve on shifting air;
What seemed eternal proved too frail to last,
A fleeting bloom too delicate to bear.
Still, though we part, the memory remains,
A bittersweet reminder of the fire;
Our love survives in joy entwined with pains,
A tender ache that neither dulls nor tires.
Though not forever, love has left its trace—
A perfect moment time cannot erase.
