Love Transcending… Poem by Mona Lisa Aspiras

Love Transcending…

Two wholes….
I give myself, to be you
You give yourself, to be me.
Together, we lose ourselves in each other…

What is love, lived, but a
Transcendence…
The past, present, and future…
Love knows no time,
No constraints,
It may show itself in
Various forms…

Shackled, free, set loose…
Will you, love, come back?
Are you true, are you mine?
Question of the ages…

The law of love dictates
That in itself, there is no law,
But the manifestation of
Imperfections- made visible,
And purified, refined,
Into something of value-
To both the viewer
And the viewed…

Love- the mysterious force…
It makes the world go round.

What may be love to you
Or to me-
Takes various paths…
It can fly straight like an arrow
Yes, it can hit its mark,
Or totally deviate.

How much importance do we
Give and view you, O Love?
Will you be my gift, for life,
For eternity, or
Fade like an ethereal memory…

Love- do you dare transcend?
Love- do you hurt?
Or are you hurt?

Maybe you are both…
Love, dare you answer?
Love, I transcend.
With my imperfections and all,
I dare say, I love you, and
I accept you.

I transcend, and am you.
