Love Will Always Find A Way Poem by Danladi Tauhid

Love Will Always Find A Way

Some people see love as
a sting of youth
Some will say a passing fancy
and that what succeeds is tolerance
patience and a sense of hope
all in the time of youth
I dare say love knows no boundary
and no license
and no vegetation
for it can grow anywhere
and anytime
so much for love I dare say
But what about people that love?
Some people say love is a sweet damsel
With a youth with cropped hair
teeth flashing boldness
and never too bold to know its rules
As for me I don't know
And once or twice every time
I think of love betrayed
Reminiscing in old age
About the love I once shared
So much was my love for her
I loved her more than the clouds
A canopy over our hearts
Cooling the shades where sits that wonder
Love is a wonderful thing
Ask any youth in love

Her face was the sunshine
that sunlight my being
My love was so blue and true
Nothing was bluer than it
Some may say am too dotty
Reminiscing of lost love
Over the hills and plains of life
Has that love galloped
Never turning to see
If the parts are strewn with pains
The pains of losing your love

Talatu
I have lived and learned to hold you
Still dearly in my heart
Gone from me for ever though
My love shall remain constant
Until old age beckons me
My heart is faint and
weak
still dear you are to me

Love will always find a way.
