Love Your Brother

“He without sin, throw the first stone”
Spoke Jesus Christ with holy breath
The crowd could only turn and moan
None could throw the stone of death

The crowd dispersed, away they went
Not one could understand
Yet still for these God’s Lamb was sent
Just as His Father planned

Through love He hung upon a tree
Through love Christ came to die
Through love He sets the captive free
To live through love on high

Yet still we judge our brother’s sin
Instead through love help bear it
We’ll always let the devil win
Each time we fail to share it

For each of us has fallen short
Now last week whenever
Not; every day brings good report
Will God His love then sever?

Never through love when hearts are right
When free of wayward sin
Who’s walk in truth is of the Light
Who heed God’s Dove within

A hand that meets another’s need
Prevents so oft a fall
Serving thus Christ with word and deed
We walk in love so tall

So love the Lord with all you’ve got
Also love your brother
For who loves God yet brother not
Loves neither one, nor t’other.
