Loveless Pond



If I told you the truth how would you respond,
would you unsettle the still lying loveless pond?
Yet nothing compares to the heart broken pain
that would dawn upon me like wrath from life's bane
Cometh the lesser response that I fear
would thy have mercy and spare me a tear?
Or might thy leave me with deep distraught,
withering plants in my gardens of thought...

This is a poem I wrote about a girl I love.
I struggled to get myself to ask her how she felt, because I was scared of her possible response. Taking it out on paper was the easiest thing I could do.

If not, my mind would have deteriorated...
